Teaching Plan

1.1 Curriculum

Biology is a subject that is taken by students in year 4 to year 6. The time allocation is 150 minutes in a week with two meetings. For students in year 4 the time duration of each meeting is 100 minutes (2 periods) while for students in year 6 each meeting is 100 minutes (2 period) and 50 minutes (period).  The learning resources used are teacher ppt and module.

This is my cooperating teachers schedule that was arranged by the teachers. My teachers has 5 biology classes there are M. 4/1, M. 4/2, M. 6/1, M. 6/2 and M. 6/3. I have the opportunity to teach only 2 classes, but on my teaching observation I attend all of them.

1.2 Teaching Plan Related with My Major

The first thing to do to make a teaching plan is to discuss the lesson plan with the cooperating teacher. Lesson plan is a set of design plans with the aim of ensuring that learning activities systematically, effectively, purposefully, and in accordance with the needs of students. In designing a lesson plan, it is based on the provisions or format provided by the school. Coverage in the lesson plan includes learning objectives, material to be taught, teaching methods, student activities, tools or media used, and evaluation to measure the success of learning. The topic to be taught is the decision of the cooperating teacher. Making lesson plans starting from the selection of teaching methods, student worksheet design, and learning media are all consulted with the host teacher. Here is the lesson plan for the carbohydrate topic that I used during real teaching.

To ensure smooth student activities during the lessons, I also carried out preparations, including equipment setup and trial runs, in the preceding days.
